Hi there,
I have purchased a sitelock subscription for securing my site and stopping spammers etc.
They have security locks and says that my site will have a https link after I successfully activate their code.
They gave me a htlm file to put in my root directory and a tag.

I did all what they said and it still doesnt work the way it should. I have tried to contact their support team and they are basically unavailabe (aweful). Has anyone ever used their service? My guess is I have not put the file correctly in my root directory, I wasnt sure whether to put it in the directory that has all the drupal files or in the theme directory. Also I wasnt sure as to where to paste the tag they gave me and how...

Here is their instructions

Step 1
This step requires you to modify your site in an unobtrusive and temporary manner. This can be done in one of two ways:
1. Click here to download a verification file that you must then upload to your website's root directory (e.g., public_html, or www_root); OR
2. Insert the following meta tag in your homepage's source file:

Once you have completed one of the steps above, please come back to this page and Click here and we will attempt to verify your domain ownership immediately.

NB: Where is My Home Page Source file. I Just copied and pasted this tag in /sites/all/themes/theme_name/templates/html.tpl.php and nothing worked out...

I managed to get them on the phone (finally), and they sorted out my problem. They needed me to pass their security questions to identify who I was.
