Dear webmasters,

drupal.org is a website in English language, but our community is worldwide and some people don't speak English (well) or just have other priorities than documentation, filing issues and using the forum. For example in Latin America we encourage people to participate in the project and especially in Spanish speaking groups on groups.drupal.org, like Spanish, Latin America and all the local groups for each country.

Further, sometimes, translation sprints are held to involve not just programmers into our lovely Drupal project, so maybe people only contribute on localize.drupal.org.

I also could think about the hardcore coder who only contributes with comments on api.drupal.org :-)

Unfortunately the script who checks activeness on the "not a spammer role" only takes into consideration the main website and not the related sites. This can be disappointing to active members in the sub-sites.

One example for a person who is in this situation is isimgt a very active Druplero from Guatemala, who writes actively on g.d.o but his profile has been restricted on drupal.org.

Maybe we can extend the script to be fairer to non-english-speaking people and people who decide to contribute in a more alternative way.

Thank you for all the good work!

Fixing badly formed link.

Title: Include relating sites into "not a spammer"-script » Include all *.d.o sites into "not a spammer"-script

I'm very in favor of this idea, but it does require a bit of work on a technical level which means it won't happen very quickly.

BTW, just confirmed that getting restws deployed on g.d.o passes an initial sniff test. If that were to happen this would become a bit easier. I could see a case where any time a profile is edited on d.o a call is made to the subsites where they are known to have an account to see if they have sufficient number of nodes there.

A very good idea indeed, but I don't see this happening unless somebody volunteers for this job.
