If you create your own cck-type and choose the option "Display a rating widget with nodes of this content type", this is working well for once.
But if you edit this content type again, the check-box is not checked any more. If you want the rating control to be seen after editing, you have to check the option again, what is slightly overlooked.

I've altered it to use $form['#node_type']->type now, which should work better.
