I just pushed a change to take this call out. You will have to wait till dev snapshot updates or clone from git.

i have got a similar issue after installing simple ldap module.

fatal error: call to undefined function dpm() in c:\wamp\www\drupal\sites\all\modules\simple_ldap-7.x-1.4\simpleldap\simpleLdap.class.php on line 471.

during configuration of simple ldap i just specified the ip address, port of my ldap server which is a different machine .can anyone help me out.

@gayathri p similar problem but different module. You should search the Simple LDAP queue and if it is not already reported create a new issue. If you make the issue put the link here. I can recommend fix on the new issue.
