I have a case where the content editors need to be able to edit some type of boxes (simple, or custom ones that have only text and/ or image fields), but not other types (field_boxes, feed boxes, ...). This is not possible with the current permissions boxes has.
To fix this, I created a more granular approach to the permissions, creating one permission per box type (plugin), while keeping the "Edit boxes" permission in place to be a catch-all edit permission.
