I would like to include the host header in acquia purge requests. Additionally, I would like to allow the specification of multiple domains for which to issue a purge request.

I am marking this patch as needs work because it has not been extensively tested.

Could you explain further the motivation of this patch? (Looking into an unrelated issue with acquia and purge so saw this. )

When multiple varnish instances are being used (such as behind a balancer), each instance needs to be issued a PURGE request directly (via IP address or a unique hostname for that instance) to ensure that all cache entries are purged. Without the host header, the PURGE request will be made for the IP address or unique hostname used to reach the varnish instances, which will most likely not match the cache entries.

I'm closing this off as this module no longer supporta Acquia platforms. Acquia Purge is now the recommend module.
