built a proof-of-concept site using Panopoly RC3 see http://super.coop and discovered the Radix theme which uses Bootstrap / Bootswatch etc

did some work making sub-themes of Radix (which was OK) or derivative themes from Sizzle (which worked well)

I started to add some regions (Radix only has two, Content and Footer) such as Sidebar First and Sidebar Second so that Context / Blocks works with Open Outreach

so, now I have an Open Outreach rc7 (http://transition.coop) site looking almost exactly the same as the Panopoly rc3 site (http://super.coop) ps: might take a bit for the caching to catch-up with theme changes

This is really nice work! Great idea as a stop-gap measure. Bootstrap is very powerful - especially for non-programmers.

I have pretty much done with this version of two Sizzle based Bootwatch themes

Sizzle Slate

Sizzle Cerulean

you need compass_radix version 0.0.7 (I think), there might be problems with pane-menu-tree, perhaps other bugs

Title: Add Radix Bootstrap Themes to Open Outreach as Bridge to Panopoly » Add Radix or Kalatheme Bootstrap themes to Open Outreach as bridge to Panopoly
Version: 7.x-1.x-dev » 7.x-2.x-dev

Moving this to the 2.x Panopoly compatible development branch. This isn't work I can take on myself and I'd like to get the 2.x branch working with the existing AdaptiveTheme based Outreach theme before thinking about adding a new base theme, but meantime discussion and examples are great.

Open Atrium 7.x ships with a Radix-based theme.

I've been using Radix a lot

I created a variant of Radix that has regions for blocks and context and use it on an Open Outreach site at http://transition.coop - the Highlights don't respond nicely to screen changes, but it works well enough

good to see your back

I sandboxed a working prototype of this;
