Linking to Commerce Kickstart is not correct. This theme is not Commerce Kickstart and regardless, there is no documentation on this theme within the Commerce Kickstart docs.

Things that would be helpful might be, how to recreate the styles used in the theme (i.e. in the screenshot) etc. For example, you can explain how users are supposed to use the postscript sections with a view and which classes to use in order to get the same styles. That's why people are downloading this theme and if it isn't self-explanatory, it should be mentioned somewhere. Commerce Kickstart is a distribution that has content already styled. That isn't helpful when trying to use the styles and functions of this theme by itself.

I support the need for proper documentation. It wasn't until I was trying to find out why subthemes based on omega kickstart didn't look right at all that I even realized that omega kickstart used sass and compass, amoung all the others things done.... Maybe that should at least be included in a readme..

(the whole Omega and Commerce projects in general is lacking what I would term basic documentation though)

Yeah there's too much guesswork involved. I understand the maintainers are busy, and some feature requests or bugs MAY take priority over documenting, but any programmer worth their weight knows the value of proper documentation. I have said since the beginning of my Drupal experience that a requirement for committing a project should include documentation.

i second those emotions, because as i understand the theme structure, a general drupal site could possibly make use of this theme as well - though that's not the intention, and there will be some work required to manage front page content (for example)...but in general, a simple set of tutorials could work as well.
