One thing that is nice with albums, is cover art. I tend to see the page of a digital release that way: it should be sort of special to look at and read. Even if i don't know any digital online store that treat releases this way.

What i want to suggest, is a sperate field allowing to enter custom CSS. This would give the possibilty to the admin user to make a special deisgn for the page displaying an album or a release. Like color, bakground images and fonts etc...

Since the nature of the filtering applied on such field is a vulnerability issue, it should probably only be given to admin and blocked for artists.

giving each album an individual design? charming Idea! maybe we can extend this issue? lets try to provide sitebuilders with a way to customize the provided theme without any coding or theme manipulation. using a feature? or just a recipe.

live_css seems amazing! But all of them seem to offer a way to change the hole theme and not just a single page? It's worth checking out!

I think the simplest solution here would be to use album artwork as a full scale background image when viewing a release, much like how the embed widget works. I am attempting to implement something along these lines in the next release of Flux.

Otherwise custom CSS could be added conditionally in template.php by a developer to support unique per-release styles.
