defaultcontent is no longer being worked on - switch to new demo content?

According to a future plan defaultcontent is deprecated.

The maintainer recommends uuid_features for deploying default content, but right now that module does not support file fields/images very well and it also does not maintain entity relationships.

Node Export does all these things, and is quite easy to use/configurable.

@populist - would you consider changing dependencies here and moving to this module?

I can provide patches that would change panopoly_demo over to node_export and fix (ie: remove) the deps from panopoly_core.
