Hi.

I am hoping someone can help me - I have deleted three pages but they aren't automatically removed from the main navigation bar. What is the method to remove pages from the nav bar?

Yes, I have tried editing the menus, apparently there is nothing in the Primary nav bar to edit... the items I want to remove aren't on any lists... help

I have just started using Drupal and have read through instruction manuals, blogs and help articles to work the system out, I find it a very odd system to use and it doesn't seem very good to hand over to clients who aren't computer literate. I use WordPress for other sites and it is much cleaner, simpler and retains functionality through Plugins. I don't want to be negative about Drupal, perhaps I just have the wrong idea so far.

The site is http://tranquilityspa.co.nz
and the pages to be removed are 'Mineral Makeup', 'Waxing and Electrolysis' and 'Fashion Hair Colouring' all are sub-menus of 'Beauty Treatments'

Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Euan

There is no stable version of Drupal 8 yet. You should use the current version for productive sites, 7.19.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Sorry, I should have said - my current version is only 6.28
I would like to delete the three pages without updating if possible.

Any other suggestions?

you may use FTP software like FileZilla to control your file or page who you want to remove .

Hello Euan,

One thing you should always try if you have changed something and it does not appear to make any difference is clear the cache. For performance reasons, Drupal caches many things, but this has the disadvantage that when you change something dramatic like deleting a page with a menu item, you may need to clear the cache.

When you are logged as admin, there should be a page in "Administer > Site Configuration > Performance". At the bottom of the page, there should be a button (something like "Clear cached data") to clear the cache.

Yes, Drupal may be harder than WordPress. But ultimately it is a lot more powerful. A Formula 1 racing car is harder to drive than an Ford automatic, but some of us think it is worth the effort to learn :-).

Hello Euan,

Your post is categorised "Drupal 8.x". If you can change it to category "Drupal 6.x", that would be better. Thanks!
