Prevent duplicate MIN / MAX records when using Views with aggregation.

I have a view which uses aggregation which has two fields which shows the MIN and MAX of some date field but sometimes there is only one record for a particular grouping and so these values are the same. Can anyone advise how best to restrict the view to just show the one date in these situations?
