Hi

The display options of a date field consists of all available date formats the admin has already set. Consequently displayed dates are being localized.
But the date entry options in the Manage Field page are just some hardcoded presets or allows for one custom value. Unfortunately neither of these are being passed for localization, but I think they should...

Am I missing some configuration option or is this simply not available at the moment? If so, then consider this as a feature request: how about cloning the display settings behavior so the date entry options also allows to use date formats set through the api? This way the localization of the form field is automatically incorporated (I think).

Thanks.

Hi,

I second the initial request : it would be useful for multi contributors sites, for instance with US contributors and European ones since they use a different (and confusing) date format.

Why not using types instead of formats in field widget ?

Re-opening this feature request, for the same reasons #1 and #4 mentioned: contributors with different languages should be able to edit date fields with a proper format.

Are we missing something?

Thanks
