Summary block: Content: Created year + month and Taxonomy Term arguments

We have a need to generate an monthly archive block alongside our taxonomy term pages which are controlled by views.

Our taxonomy term pages are generated using the views taxonomy override - so the pages URL are /taxonomy/term/%tid.

We've created an archive block which is placed in the sidebar. This uses the Content: Created year + month filter to provide a summary view. We also use 'Content has term ID' as a contextual filter.

The issue I have is that the links that are generated by the summary view don't include the term ID, so when viewing a page with this term, /taxonomy/term/346, when I click the link in the side bar for say October 2012 I get, /taxonomy/term/201210 which obviously returns no results.

If I manually add the term to the URL I do get the desired results. /taxonomy/term/346/201210

How can get the summary URL to use the page augments? I have tried adding arguments to the base URL option provided by the summary view to no avail.
