Is there any particular reason that the date filter uses strtotime($this->value['value'], 0)? As far as I can tell, that's all that's keeping the date filter from being able to accept relative values.

Patch attached. Allows a value of 'now' to behave sensibly in a views date filter, haven't observed any ill side-effects.
