it would be nice to allow a site editor/maintainer to be able to change the images for each section of the site
in other words one could designate designate frontpage background, section1 background and add permission for someone to upload/change them
and admin can go in to context menu and define frontpage background to display on front page
and define what it means to be in section 1 etc
if you need more info I will gladly provide

ultimateboy CreditAttribution: ultimateboy commentedThis is currently supported using the context module. The module provides a context reaction to allow you to change the image on a per page or section basis.
Permissions are a totally different and tricky subject. There is the backstretch_formatter module which would allow you to control permissions via any standard node permissioning system.. though I just suggested merging that module in to this: #1880382: Merge in to backstretch module?
