Unwanted blank teaser slides being shown

Using versions 7.x-3.0 for both Views Slideshow and Slideshow:Cycle. Have created a slideshow view with 3 slides and told the view pager to display 3 items, however, it shows an empty teaser slide before each full slide.

I can't seem to find where to turn this off. Great module though, will take learning to be able to use it properly.
