The JAWS screen reader cannot activate sub menu items in MSIE 8. Firefox 17 works as expected. Typically, activating a menu item with JAWS is done using either the Enter key or the Spacebar.
In my simple example I have a menu structure like:
Parent Menu 1
|_ Child Menu 1
|_ Child Menu 2
|_ Sub Child Menu 1
|_ Sub Child Menu 2
I can activate Child Menu 1 and 2, but none of the Sub Child items.
Configuration:
- Drupal 7.17
- MSIE 8.0.7601.17514
- JAWS 14.0.1037 (latest) (also tested JAWS 13)
- Superfish using default setup
Unfortunately, I have not been able to test in MSIE 9.

mehrpadin CreditAttribution: mehrpadin commentedHey there,
Sorry for the late reply! better late than never :) just tested with JAWS & IE8 (using Browser Mode of IE10 developers tools actually), looks like you're right, rather an IE bug though as it works fine elsewhere, even on IE9 & 10, on IE8 also it only didn't work at first, when I tried CTRL+ENTER it did work, then tried SHIFT+ENTER and IE crashed, since then it's working, with ENTER! no idea why, this is IE after all! and maybe it's only me.
