Slide transition does not work properly

In the Mobile jQuery Theme the slide transition looks not so good as in the demos directly from jquerymobile.com.

In this them the page first slides away with a blank page appearing. The new page appears not until the transition is finished.

On the demos the slide will directly move the next page into the view.

I've marked the new page red in the screenshots.
