Hm. I can't reproduce here. :( Maybe try with the new alpha7 release, due out Any Time Now™. :)

Also cannot reproduce here. These sound like issues with update status if it got malformed XML files from updates.drupal.org, which is not at all in our control. Since nobody else found this and we could not reproduce, closing. Please open if you can still reproduce with current releases.
