Currently, whenever you create a new relationship request, the status message says Your request to be a %relationship_name of %requestee has been submitted. However, in some cases the 'request' has already been approved, either because the requestee has set auto-approve for relationships of that type, or because that relationship type doesn't require approval. Personally, I found the status message confusing: Immediately after sending the request, I went to my pending requests page and didn't see any pending requests sent. I happened to check out my relationships page and deduced that the request must have been auto-approved.

I propose that when the request is auto-approved, the status message display the 'accepted' message, i.e. You are now a %relationship_name of !requestee. Or we could add another message, 'pre_approved' that's even more descriptive, e.g. You're request to be %relationship_name of !requestee has been automatically approved. You are now a %relationship_name of !requestee.

What do other folks think?
