Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Book listings feature is now deployed on d.o: http://drupal.org/books. New section needs to be filled with content.
Remaining tasks:
1. LoMo to fill in new content type using his Selenium script
2. Manually add a link to the new Books page from Documentation landing page, and from "Understanding Drupal" http://drupal.org/documentation/understand (where Books used to be).
3. Manually delete the previous node pages for the books listings, and redirect them to /books (or if we want to get fancy, to a filtered subset of /books):

jhodgdonThanks for creating this issue! Exactly what is needed to finish this off. Hah! New component too. :)
jhodgdonI just added a dummy listing http://drupal.org/node/1836786 so that at least if someone goes to Books they will be able to find the old listings in the meantime, and have an explanation of why it is blank.

tvn CreditAttribution: tvn commentedLoMo created a bunch of book listing nodes (https://drupal.org/node/1487988#comment-6772738), I published them all now.

tvn CreditAttribution: tvn commentedThere are also 3 book listings submitted by kattekrab. I did not publish them for now, since they a probably duplicates and should be deleted:
Front End Drupal:

Using Drupal:

Foundation Drupal 7:

jhodgdonI took care of the duplicates -- kept the one in each pair that seemed better.
jhodgdonI think #1 in the task list is done now... we just need to do #2 and #3...

tvn CreditAttribution: tvn commentedI've added the link to /books to "Understanding Drupal" page.
Documentation landing page (http://drupal.org/documentation/) has Drupal books block with a correct link. (While we're at it, wasn't that block located in the sidebar? Now it's at the bottom of the main content area.)
tvn CreditAttribution: tvn commentedI've deleted all inner pages of http://drupal.org/node/42200 and set redirects to /books.
Prior to deletion I checked if all listed books have own book listing nodes. There are 2 books I was not able to find:

tvn CreditAttribution: tvn commentedDeleted http://drupal.org/node/42200 and set redirect to /books. I also opened separate issues for the 2 missing books. This issue seems to be done.

jhodgdonThanks tvn! I was going to take care of this but didn't get around to it (very busy lately).
