Can you alter a fields name in the $_GET-parameter when sorting tables?

I have a view with in a table format with sortable columns. One of the fields is named 'field_latest_activity' and as such, sorting by that field will produce the following $_GET-parameter: ?order=field_latest_activity&sort=desc

This is of course not so nice, I want it to be something like ?order=activity&sort=desc. I have tried to look around in the UI, but I can't seem to find anything. Is it possible in some way?
