If 'Multiple Selects' is selected as the widget type when creating a new entity reference field, it hides the 'Number of values' input where you normally select how many of that value to allow to be stored for the field.

I assumed it did this because you would almost always want 'Unlimited' there for Multiple Selects fields. However, when editing the field after that, you can see that the 'Number of values' is still the default value of 1.

Since '1' is the only value for that field which does not make sense for Multiple Selects, it seems like this behavior should be changed in one of two ways:
1. Automatically set the value to 'Unlimited' instead of 1 when creating a new entity reference with Multiple Selects as the widget. It could still be editable when editing the field later, or
2. Simply show the 'Number of values' field on the form for creating a new entity reference field using the Multiple Selects widget, which is the same behavior when using another widget besides Multiple Selects

Let me know if I haven't explained this well enough. Thanks!

Im not sure why you are having this issue, because i can choose how many values i need from 1 to unlimited.

Which field type are you trying to add?
