"lang" attributes in opening tag of page play a role in multilanguage websites SEO. Shouldn't be too hard to update $language variable depending on which Gtranslate translation is viewed.
Meanwhile, checking arg(0) at the theme level to detect and display correct "lang" can be used as interim solution i guess..).

In Pro it is possible to do that, but it requires little programming on your side. If you search in forums you will find how to do that.
In Enterprise version it is included.
