There is no way to access the Orbit Caption from the admin page, or any other page. If Orbit is to drive the slide show, we need to get into the controls of it t add captions, adjust the speed and perhaps the transitions.

Thanks for your suggestion. We have just released 7.x-1.2 with some minor bug fixes. Will definitely include the some of the advanced options of orbit as theme configuration item in our next release.
