This is something I wish we'd do in Drupal core, but we don't yet. But it's really easy to create an "orphaned" page that's impossible to get to except via admin/content if you forget to add a menu link to it.

mmilano CreditAttribution: mmilano commentedI created a page with the 'Provide a menu link' checked, simulating a user creating page content while ignoring those settings.
It adds the link to the primary nav and has no icon. I think this would cause even more confusion and more work since 1) it's likely that is not where they would have wanted the link, and 2) because there's no icon to match the other primary nav items without creating one and updating css.
Additionally, we have theming issues when adding another link up there, which we probably need to address as a separate issue.
The theming issues aside, is this feature still desired, or are there any other ideas on how to place the link better?
