Hi,

I'm looking at Drupal Commons as a potential platform for a new project.
I am running the D6 and D7 version side by side on my dev server and comparing the two.
The D6 version is much heavier but is more complete and the profile installation was very good.

Question >

I can see how to enable and disable the Features in a Group in the D6 version but not in the D7 version.
I am not up-to-date with the project and understand that it is still in dev but will it work the same as D6 ? with a tab in the groups node page where the group manager can turn features on and off for that group ?

thanks

Component: Group Homepages » Documentation

This is not built-in into Commons in 7.x-3.x in the same way (OG_Features) module that it was in Commons 6.x-2.x. However, you should be able to use the group-specific permissions to disable posting a certain content type into a particular group.

Moving this to the documentation component so that we can include it in upcoming Commons documentation.

Moving this to the main Drupal Commons issue queue per #1812492: Consider using central issue queue for Commons projects.

As an interface to allow group managers to enable/disable features within a group, the og_features module worked extremely well (as it did for commons 6x and OpenAtruim).

Is any kind of manger/user targeted ( not site administrator targeted ) interface going to be developed to handle group features ? as the Features mechanism is a very good way to wrap up permission and functionality in to a more understandable package, rather than a list of permissions that some might find confusing.

Is it just a case of waiting for og_features 7x ?
