I don't know if this is still in the dev branch, but it was causing issues for me in the 7.x-2.0-beta.

An improperly closed caret in the sub-nav caused the arrows to appear twice and break the dropdown menu in ie8.
This is my first patch file, so apologies if this is not the correct way to do things. :)
