The unfinished carts clutter the order management overview. In a busy webshop you quickly get a lot of unfinished carts, and the it is hard to see which you should actually act on. I know it is possible to filter, but the shop owner should see right away what to act on (that is the people who completed the checkout process). I think that I am proposing the standard Drupal Commerce behavior.
