I can't tell you the number of times I want to view a field in a field collection from the content type fields page. the I was able to just copy and paste this code into the field_collection.module file. I would provide a patch but I don't know if the devs even want something like this in there, and I've never tried to submit a patch before. If someone else finds this useful, I would be happy to put in some time in making a patch. Just want to say GREAT IDEA and that this code works.

brewerkr CreditAttribution: brewerkr commentedAfter running the update that includes this patch, I can't get it to work. I go to the content type > manage fields and click on "Field Collection" in one of the fields that is using that field type and it takes me to the Field Settings and not the Manage Field page for that specific Field Collection. Am I doing something wrong?
*update* Ah, I see now. You click on the field machine name and not the actual words Field Collection to go to the Field Collection Manage Page thingy. Awesome works great, thanks!
