I'm unable to access the administrator menus using ?q= in the command. For instance, http://www.mysite.com/?q=node/add will not work, but http://www.mysite.com/node/add will work. I have to edit all the commands before I'm able to gain access. I use aliases for all my content pages, I'm not sure if this related. I'm using Drupal 7.12. Menus worked correctly, then didn't. I can't associate any changes I made to the web site that may have caused the problem. I logged out and back in later and the problem presented itself. I can access content without problems.

node/add working indicates that you've enabled clean urls, is this correct?
Clean-urls
At the present time, clean-urls is disabled. When the problem presented itself, clean-urls was enabled. ?q= doesn't work under either circumstance.

were any changes made to the default .htaccess file?
Changes to default .htaccess file
Not that I know of. If a change was somehow made, I'm not aware of it.

with clean urls disabled, you are able to reach node/add?
Changes to default .htaccess file with clean-urls disabled.
Again, no changes to the default .htaccess that I'm aware of. Yes I can reach node/add.
Problem resolved.
The problem resolved itself when I logged out of the account and back in. There is a moral there somewhere. Thank you for your replies.
