Hey all,

I was wondering how I could print using php, the " X New Messages" notification in a menu. Am using OM Menus, so that when a user presses the "X New Messages" Notification it will open a dropdown that has the stream within it.This way I can replication social media notifications.

Do you think the Node.js integration will add anything useful? I think it mentioned a notification block. Something similar to the privatemsg notification block would be awesome.
