When createCaptcha() hits a network error, an empty captcha is shown to the user. There's logging for when this happens, but it doesn't help the person presented with the empty captcha. If Mollom is set to allow posts through when it's down, then what about simply skipping the captcha altogether if one can't be retrieved?

sunI'm sorry for the very belated reply.
This (mis)behavior was recently fixed in #2108285: Fallback mode is not always triggered in case Mollom is not reachable, so I'm closing this issue as a duplicate of that.
Thanks for reporting this issue!
