Hi all,

First of all thanks a lot for the great module. I tried installing it on a couple of my drupal 7 websites, following the instructions. I copied the same folder of "ckeditor module 7.x.-1.9" with "ckeditor plugin 3.6.4" in sites/all/modules in both of my websites. It seems to be running perfectly fine on one but not on the other. When I try to open a page, all of the text box is lost and replaced by a blank box. Both the websites have different hosting (if that's relevant).

The site on which ckeditor is not working, has some other modules like lightbox2, galleria, jcarousel, jwplayer etc. I tried uninstalling each one of them but that did not help. I also tried switching its themes but that did not help either. However, if I try using ckeditor with wysiwyg, it shows the text in the text box but a blank toolbar above it in which there are text editing options. Can someone please guide me? Thanks!

Please check in manual if you followed all necessary steps to install CKEditor module:
http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_for_Drupal/Open_Source/Drupal_7/Installation.
Please check in Firebug or similar tool if you have any errors reported on site where you have this issue.
Please also check admin status report page if you have any errors reported by CKEditor module.

Hi, Thanks a lot for your reply. Yes, I checked all that. There was no problem with the installation & there are no errors reported by CKEditor module. I have attached a screenshot in order to make it clear. Thanks for looking into it.

Can you send me login data to your site in private massage.
I will try check this in some free time.

Hi, Thank you very much. The issue seem to be resolved. I guess there was a conflicting module that did not let us use the text editor. We have a special module webauth that lets users login to their website with their email accounts and the ckeditor was not working for them for some strange reason. However, when I created a separate drupal website only user, it was working fine. So, I guess this is way to work around it by creating separate users account for administrators who have to regularly update the content. Thanks for your help!

The Problem : The ckeditor does not show up when I try to edit any data on my website.
I found out ,the problems is not just connected with the ckeditor but with any editor ; I am using Nicedit on another system.

And it has nothing to do with the system drupal is running on . The ckeditor (Wysiwyg 7.x-2.2 + CKEditor 3.6.6.1.7696 ) is not showing up on a Linux (Mint) machine with Apache 2.4.3 +PHP5.4.7 + MySQL 5.5.27 .
The Nicedit Editor does not work on a Windows 7 system with a XAMPP -Server .

On both systems I use drupal 7.22 .

In my opinion the bug is connected with the Administration "Overlay" function in the kernel of drupal 7.22 !

If I turn the Overlay on - the editor is not there .
If I turn the Overlay off - the editor comes out at the very moment.

Same thing on the Windows 7 machine.

I am absolutely sure ,the same thing would happen if I would use ckeditor 4.+ (then not using the Wysiwyg 7.x-2.2 module) .

I intend to clone the Linux hard disk and work on the clone using ckeditor 4.+ to validate my feeling.
