First, can this be done?

Second, is contextual filter (default value) the way to do it?
[ I could use a page instead of a block if that makes it possible ]

Third, I would be happy to pay a fee for the PHP snippet if the answers are yes.

Artist participants (users) at my site have created bio nodes and also nodes for their artwork, three per artist. The user/author is the connecting link between the nodes.

I can easily display all the nodes, grouping by user, so the name and address appears with thumbnails of their artwork (pulling all ).

However, when I want to display a subset of artists (in a view) the criteria -- such as neighborhood -- is only known by the bio. The artwork content type does not include the neighborhood select list.

Is there any way to tell views to include the relevant bios AND other nodes by same author? In other words, include Sam, because his bio says he's in the Germantown neighborhood, and ALSO include his artwork
