Community Accounting is a great module, but I'm a bit surprised that there is no integration with Commerce for D7?
When members 'buy' or exchange goods or services, how is that currently done in C.A. and would it not be better to use Commerce for that?
I want to build a marketplace where users can offer their goods and services on the website, which can be paid by alternative currencies, by other site users.

matslats CreditAttribution: matslats commentedHi, I am aware of this use case, and intend to support it.
I've made a start with a mutual_credit payment method for Commerce, but it hasn't been a priority so far.
Do you want to commission this module?
It's not very complicated.

Yuri CreditAttribution: Yuri commentedWe are starting up a new non-profit development project and discussing what would be best. We aim to help certain groups by stimulating local exchange of services, and will use either the Userpoints modules or the Community Accounting module. Community Accounting looks very good, but it appears that it does not get much attention yet, in Drupal.org. I'm currently checking out a way to show and store user transactions, and allow people to have a simple store front with one or a few services or products, which can be exchanged with each other, through the Userpoints or CA module.
I understand that you would prefer the CA module to be expanded upon, but I need to be sure that there is enough support for the method used, since people will rely on the system. What would you advise?
Thank you.

Lukas von BlarerHas there been any progress on this? I might be interested in this feature and may provide support to contribute this or even fund it.
Can you post the code you wrote?

edufol CreditAttribution: edufol commentedHi! We'd like to integrate mutual credit with commerce as a discount or payment method.
Is there any progress on this?
Thanks in advance.

edufol CreditAttribution: edufol commentedHi Matthew,
Can you share with us the piece of code you made, please?
Probably a developer can finish your work, or we can pay someone to do it. If we can enable a currency from your module as a payment method would be tremendous :-)
Thanks!

alauzon CreditAttribution: alauzon as a volunteer commentedI would be very happy to work on this issue either being paid or not depending on the free time I can have.
Is there interest on the part of anyone for this?

matslats CreditAttribution: matslats as a volunteer commentedGenerally there is very little interest in this.
Community Currencies which are commodity backed i.e. dollar-backed generally use another software, Cyclos.
It might be instructive to review use-cases for this.
Alauzon there is lots to do to upgrade this module for drupal 8, and people are waiting for it.
I'm working on it full time, but its big!

alauzon CreditAttribution: alauzon as a volunteer commentedUnderstood, matslats. Do you have a roadmap to D8 issue page? Where could I help? I am now between 2 contracts and I have a little bit of time if I can't get paid.
Are you getting paid for this? Could I get paid to work with you on this? If so I could join you full time then.
