I've had great luck getting the calendar block to display the dates of an event node while in a sidebar, but I've run into a bit of a problem. This is only really a problem at the end of a month/for events which are created well in advanced, but the calendar block always loads on the month of the current date. I'm looking for a way to have a calendar block automatically jump forward to the date(s) of an event which will take place in the future. I was wondering if I've overlooked something possibly buried in the settings or elsewhere.

I'd appreciate any tips anyone can throw me as to getting the calendar block to load with the next displayable event being displayed (also would be applicable for events which are from months ago, but I can't really think of any use-case in which that would be necessary)

(example can be found at makerspace.rutgers.edu/content/makerspace-welcoming as the event doesn't take place until September 3rd)
Placeholder event had to be removed because site is going live soon. Any advice would still be appreciated.

It's been a long time from this issue... it's been someway solved?
I think I've got exactly the same problem: need to show the month which has the first event in the view.
The view calendar is for showing all the sessions of a show and the information can be introduced months before the show is going to be performed.

Any advice?

Thank you!
