Can't attach different node type to forum [#1663226]

So I imported 2000 nodes into a different node type than forum, and I can't attach it so the nodes display in the forum. I added a term reference in the content type and manually inputted what forum they go into. When I go to the www.example.com/forum page and click on the subforum where a node is located, I see: "topic name This topic has been moved to "" (View topic)" You can click "View Topic" and still see the actual node, but there is the topic name is not clickable, nor are the details, e.g., replies, view and last post. Finally, I get an error at the top of the page that states:

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in _template_preprocess_advanced_forum_topic_list_view() (line 82 of /path/to/site/public_html/sites/all/modules/advanced_forum/includes/template_preprocess_advanced_forum_topic_list_view.inc).

I guess I fixed the issue I posted about. I fixed the problem I had. I created a new field in the content type manage field section of Term Reference: Forum Vocab instead of sharing an existing field, i.e., taxonomy_forums

This solved the error message as well as the problem I was having, not affixing to the forum properly. Maybe this will help someone in the future.
