Pathauto module disappear after upgrading to 7x-1.6

Hi,

I'm not sure if this issue is related to i81n module ver 7x-1.6 or Variable 2.x but since the new upgrade requires Variable 2.x i think i should report the issue here.

When upgrading from 7x-1.5 to 7x-1.6 there is no notification about the requirement for Variable 2.x. It is only when coming to the database update part the process just stoped there and the whole system becomes blank. It is back only when i manually download Variable 2.x and upload it into the site.

But this is not the issue i'm talking about here. The issue i'm facing right now is that my Pathauto module has now gone after the upgrading. This page is now blank and the Auto URL Path has disappeared from node content type as well. Seems the whole module has gone misterycally.
