I've upgraded from OG 7.x-1.x to 7.x-2.x-alpha3, and then to 7.x-2.0-alpha3+14-dev

There is a link in /admin/config for Organic Groups called "OG membership types" in the site that I upgraded.

That link was present in the 7.x-1.4.

It is NOT present in a clean install of OG 7.x-2.0-alpha3+14-dev.

Should it be there? Should it not be there?

no need for the extra tag.

I'm finding the same problem though.

  1. Did you clear cache?
  2. When you go manually to admin/config/group/group-membership do you see it?

Version: 7.x-2.x-dev » 7.x-2.0-beta2

Having the exact same problem.

The page exists at
admin/config/group/group-membership
but is not reacheable from
admin/config/group

The same goes for OG context

Also, in the Administration menu, "OG membership types" and "OG context" do not fall under the "Organic groups" parent, but under "Configuration"

Cache was clear.

I had same problem on recent install. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened to cause the menu item to disappear. I have not been able to reproduce it. Clearing caches did not resolve issue. This is on the recommended release 7.x-2.0.

Brilliant. That fixed it for me ... going into the management menu and re-positioning the OG membership and OG context items into the proper category. You guys rock.
