Hey there, this module is used by drupal.org, and as part of the https://drupal.org/community-initiatives/drupalorg/drupal7 D7 Upgrade Initiative, we need to get it to a stable 1.0 release prior to launch.

What will it take to get a release of this module out the door before July 15th, 2012 so we can test it in-place during the QA phase? Let's use this issue to investigate and generate a bullet-point list of things that need to happen (or a list of links to other issues).

Next Steps

These are the last remaining blockers to a stable release:

  1. #1412572: No access check when referred items are being viewed
  2. #1413108: entityFieldQueryAlter() should check if correct table exists

It would be nice to have a stable release to provide site builders more certainty that the module will get an SA for any security issues. Please feel free to update this issue summary to include links to issues to fix prior to that release.

As of this post, there are 2 critical bugs in the queue.

You can use the tag D7 stable release blocker to help others identify issues that are blocking a stable release. Currently there are no issues with that tag.

I think nothing prevents a 1.0 release as soon as you need it. There are a couple of things I wish could have happened before 1.0 (especially reworking the admin configuration interface), but nothing is blocking a 1.0 as far as I am concerned.

We're in QA mode on drupal.org D7 now, and could really use a production-ready release from this module.

I have reviewed both #1412572: No access check when referred items are being viewed and #1413108: entityFieldQueryAlter() should check if correct table exists, the patches supplied for both solve their respective issues, is this enough to get this to a stable release?

No criticals left right now, if someone can take a pass through the bug reports and make sure we're not missing anything essential?
This could be something that needs fixing : #1836106: Fatal error: Call to undefined function entityreference_get_behavior_handlers() in entityreference_schema()
