It happens in dev and in 7.x-2x.

When you save the local source for the library, you get 2 answers:

1
Not suggested compatible version. Though you are very welcome to use whatever version of the OpenLayers library you want, it is suggested that you use version 2.11. You are currently not using that version or we are unable to determine which version you are using. Update your library settings at OpenLayers settings.

2
Valid library found with a Javascript client check; version: Release 2.11

------

Everything works well, but the warnings can be confusing.

Version: 7.x-3.x-dev » 7.x-2.x-dev
Component: OL API » OL UI

I tried, because of other reason, to install without the library module and i don't get the duplicated answer. I only get the second, so the first comes from libraries.

Tested in 2 different computers:

Now I tried again and without libraries module, I get the error again in Ubuntu 10.04 Firefox 13.0.1 and Opera 12.00
So I imagine that it comes from OL UI.

You only get the warning when you save the page.
