MichelleIf you haven't learned, yet, how to edit a node, you really should start with some beginner docs in the handbook. This has nothing to do with AF and is extremely basic Drupal knowledge. I would be doing you a disservice by explaining it here; you need to take some time and do some learning of the basics or you will be extremely frustrated with Drupal.

Yes for sure I can edit it, but my question is whetger do I need to add a new field of checkbox or what should be the next step
Comment #7
MichelleNo, edit the node. Set the comments to read only. Voila, closed topic.

mcdruidYou can edit comment settings on the forum topic content type, or on specific nodes.
As far as I know, you cannot set comment settings per forum (which is a taxonomy term which groups together a set of forum topic nodes), or at least not without extra code / modules.

MichelleYou asked:
and that is what I answered. That is completely different from closing an entire forum. Possibly Forum Access will let you do that but I don't know for sure.

pwaterz CreditAttribution: pwaterz commentedWow that is quite a thread. I think it would be a nice feature to be able to close a forum. Or disable adding new topics.

Sms2luv CreditAttribution: Sms2luv commentedI have locked some topic as duplicate post but still it's reflecting in Active topic list
I am using the default view

MichelleClosing a forum would be access control so out of scope for AF.
