I am using drupal 5.1 and organic groups 5.x-3.1.

My organic groups install seemed to go fine. I have a group, I can enter content, and so on.

But in the group setup, I set subscription requests to Moderated; check 'registration form' as well as 'list in groups directory' and choose a theme that is not the same as the site theme. But when I submit these settings they are lost - the theme in the group is the site theme, not the theme I chose, subscription requests go through without moderation, and so on. Some settings (url path) do take.

Any ideas?

maybe a bad contrib module. disable everything you can except og and see if problem disappears.
