Entity Reference Stripes and Documentation [#1620624]

Hi All,

I have a need to colour stripes/entries in the calendar depending on the content of an Entity Reference Field. I am about to start coding this, creating a patch at the end. What I would like to know though is:

1) Has anyone else done this (not seen it on the issue queue)?
2) Is there any documentation anywhere, generic, for the steps needed to create custom colour stripes?

I've documented steps there, but as the thread shows, there's something buggy in there at the moment.

Oh, sorry--just realized that you were talking about other entities than taxonomies.

Hi nickbits,
I've done a similar thing here. The patch is outdated - you now must change 2 files instead of one. But it might give you a hint.
You can also search for "og", or the other 2 keywords, and you'll encounter all relevant places.

@rsgracey no problem.

@johnv - I did look at that and attempt to follow it. Will try again with a clean code base and see what I can come up with. This is part of the issue trying to convert from D6 and get my head around D7 coding.
