CipperTalk.com is a Los Angeles Clippers Based Website.

There's a Community Forum that allows us to chat about current topics and get together to chat for live games. There's a Blog which any member of the community can contribute to.
There's a "game calendar" which uses the Drupal Calendar module to assign a date to All "game thread" content, allowing me to show every forum game thread on the Calendar.

Content is dynamically used throughout the site in a multitude of ways.

Why Drupal was chosen:

Drupal was the only CMS available which offered the flexibility and functionality that I needed. After working with Drupal for the past 5+ years, I've fallen in love. Is there nothing that can't be created using Drupal?

Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):

The goal of this project was to create a place that Clipper Fans were able to meet and communicate.
I have been a huge fan of the Clippers since I was very young. As I learned more and more about Drupal, I began to dream about merging my two loves. One day last off season, ESPN made a significant change to their Message Board format and their Clippers Forum was in an uproar, looking for a new place to live. I quickly bought a domain name and began working. I worked throughout the entire NBA off-season and was able to launch the site before the most exciting season in Clippers History. The site now has a robust community and I hope to keep it going strong.

Technical specifications

Why these modules/theme/distribution were chosen:

I wanted to create something more than just a flat message board.
I added functionality that allows a single point of access for all site content, comment voting a la digg/reddit to increase the community interaction, a calendar of all past Clipper game threads and so on.
I wanted the site to be the destination site for Clipper fans, not just another site they've bookmarked.

Community contributions:

I had one member, Nuraman00 who helped me work on the site throughout it's entire creation.
He's helped me troubleshoot the site and made some great recommendations.
It wouldn't be where it is today without him. Gotta love the community helping you build something that they'll regularly use.
