Why Drupal was chosen: 

Primarily because : I love Drupal

ArticleSpinner was built on wordpress earlier. Having realised that I should "Use WordPress if you want to build a blog. Use Drupal if you want to build a WordPress."

Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome): 

* Primarily to spin content
* User Registration/Login
* E-Commerce letting users to purchase spin-credits to their draw down accounts
* Management of draw-down account and deductions based on the articles spinned
* Complete log of each deduction in user account

* Provide and API to spin the content
* API should not be separated from the drupal site. API parameters take Drupal sites's credentials and the credit-deductions should be logged in the user's account

Why these modules/theme/distribution were chosen: 

Ubercart was the obvious choice for commerce Part. The commerce requirement was simple.

User Points remembers the user's spin credits.

Rules plays many roles from sending welcome emails to adding spin credits when a ubercart purchase is made.

The core of the application, the spinning engine, is implemented by a custom module. Nothing much can be revealed about the spinning engine algorithm.

Built a Drupal Module that allows any Drupal site to integrate the API to spin content on their Drupal website automatically. The sandbox module is available @
