I get the error message "The Varnish control terminal is not responding at 127.0.0.1 on port 6082".
In "/etc/default/varnish" I have the line " -T localhost:6082". So I believe I put the correct port.
I also just checked that I have copied the correct secret key from "/etc/varnish/secret" into "/admin/config/development/varnish".
So what could be the problem?
I just upgraded to Drupal 7.14 and it worked fine before. I also stopped and restarted the Varnish process.

When I try to disable the varnish module in the modules administration page of drupal, I get a white screen of death. if I check the box for the varnish module then I can save the configuration. This is strange because varnish is not really being used by drupal.
In the command line, if I do "service varnish stop", I get a "fail" message in red. However if I do a "service varnish start", I get a "Ok" message.
