Part I

Go to configuration > People > Account Settings > Manage Fields.

Add new field select “Fivestar Rating” & in widget select “Stars (rated while viewing).

Add Lable and Field name (must not be in caps and use_ ) of your choice and save.

Select Voting Tag (once data saved can’t be changed later) and Save Field Settings.

Note: This is important step to change the voting tag from “vote”, to some other tag created by you, using the select-box and save settings (Assuming you select “comment ratings” which is custom tag created by you we proceed.) [Read Setting up voting tags to know how to set custom tags]

Check the following whether the field is “Required Field”, “Number of Stars”, and “Allow users to
cancel their Ratings” and then save settings.

Note: To know how to disable voting here read “Changing Star Display options, Value to display as Stars & Text to Display Under Stars.”

Assuming content type “EnergyBlazar” already created, the steps are as follows

Go to Structure > Content Types > EnergyBlazar > Manage Fields > Comment Fields.

Add Existing field created above, but in widget select “Stars (rated while editing).

Add Lable and Field name (must not be in caps and use_ ) of your choice and save.

Select Voting Tag (once data saved can’t be changed later) and Save Field Settings.

Note: Voting tag selected must be same as above.( Thus the tag we selected earlier “comment ratings” must be selected here too.)

Check the following whether the field is “Required Field”, “Number of Stars”, and “Allow users to
cancel their Ratings”.

Now here you must select Voting Target as Parent Node and then save settings and your done.

To know how to changing star display options, value to display as stars & text to display under stars read “Changing Star Display options, Value to display as Stars & Text to Display Under Stars”.
